NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the River Ridge Development Authority until 2:00 PM local time on the 6th day of April, 2016 in the River Ridge Conference Room, 6200 E Hwy 62, Building 2501, Suite 600, Jeffersonville, IN for construction of the following project: LENTZ AVENUE PHASE II IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT JOB NO. 15174 This project consists of installing approximately 280 feet of new roadway, storm culvert and structures, 400' of full depth asphalt roadway widening for a right turn lane, striping and all other items shown on the plans and mentioned in the specifications for a complete project. At the hour of 2:00 PM local time on the 6th day of April, 2016, all bids for this construction will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM local time on the 30th day of March, 2016 in the River Ridge Conference Room, 6200 E Hwy 62, Building 2501, Suite 600, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. The bids shall be unit price for all work shown on the plans and called for in the specifications as detailed in the instructions to bidders in the specifications and submitted in duplicate on the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96. A bidder must file with its sealed bid proposal, a certified check or bid bond payable to the River Ridge Development Authority in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The above check or bond is to insure the execution of the contract on which such bids are made. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing work, a performance, maintenance and payment bond to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said Contractor, and certificates of all insurance required by the specifications. The contract documents, including the plans and specifications, are on file for public inspection at River Ridge Development Authority, 6200 E Hwy 62, Building 2501, Suite 600, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. Copies of these documents may be obtained for bidding purposes at the office of Jacobi, Toombs and Lanz, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1829 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, by payment of a non-refundable plan fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) for each set of bid documents. Checks for the plan fee shall be made out to Jacobi, Toombs and Lanz, Inc. All sealed bids shall be turned in to the River Ridge Reception Desk, 6200 E Hwy 62, Building 2501, Suite 600, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. The River Ridge Development Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities in bidding.
