NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Kokomo School Corporation (the School Corporation) that the Board of School Trustees (the Board) of the School Corporation will meet at Kokomo High School, 2501 South Berkley Road, Kokomo, Indiana, at the hour of 6:00 p.m. (Local Time) on May 6, 2024, to consider the following additional appropriation which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time: An appropriation in the amount not to exceed $ 8,000,000, plus investment earnings thereon, on account of the renovation of and improvements to school facilities, including the renovation of and improvements to the Kokomo High School natatorium, site improvements, and the purchase of equipment in the School Corporation (the Project), including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Kokomo-Center School Building Corporation. The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities. NAPPANEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Nappanee (City) Economic Development Commission (Commission) will hold a public hearing at 5:00 p.m. on May 6, 2024, at the City Hall, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana, regarding the issuance and funding of its Taxable Economic Development Revenue Note, Series 2024 (Series 2024 Note) in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000), to Ace Builders, Inc., or its affiliates (Borrower).
